Given that yours truly is a true blue Aussie, it’s only fitting that our next foray be to a very special property down under. Located across the bay from the legendary Sydney Opera House, the Park Hyatt Sydney is one of the most exclusive hotels found in Australia’s largest city. Known for its unique contemporary decor, each room features architect designed custom furniture and lighting fixtures, and the sculptures and wall art are all special commissions from Australian artists. This is all well and good, but this hotel is known for one thing in particular: the unbelievable views from their panoramic rooms.

The hotel has 155 guest rooms in total, with 11 suites, including three new rooftop suites, and the lavish Sydney Suite. Intended for up to five guests, the Sydney Suite provides 345 square meters of living space, spread over two floors, with a 93 square metre private outdoor terrace for taking in the picturesque views of the bay and the Opera House.  A separate living area provides a place for relaxing and unwinding, and there are a total of five televisions in the suite, including one in the marble bathroom, and a giant 60 inch LED setup in the living room – if the views aren’t enough of a distraction.

A Bose digital music system can set the mood for a party or for a romantic evening, and the suit has its own Nespresso coffee maker for that essential morning coffee (if you just can’t be bothered to try some of the city’s amazing coffee scene that is right on your doorstep. But please, do – Australia’s coffee scene is the best).

Business travelers are sure to appreciate the oversized work desk with extra task lighting plus the dual phone lines, speakerphone, voicemail and high-speed Internet access provided at no extra charge with the room. But with a view like that, who’s getting any work done?! When it’s time for bed, you can retire to the plush king-size bed, which is made up with custom fashioned cotton linens that feel amazing against your skin.

While staying in the Sydney Suite at Park Hyatt Sydney, you can be certain that your every need will be met. In addition to a private concierge, the room is staffed by a private butler who is on call 24 hours per day to see to any and every special request. You want star-quality treatment? You’ve got it. This added service makes the Park Hyatt Sydney one of the top destinations for travellers who want the very best.
