Majestic Hotel Kuala Lumpur: Where the Past Meets Present

Don’t get me wrong, I love a great beach vacation, but every now and again I get the urge to go somewhere with a little bit of history. The Majestic Hotel Kuala Lumpur more than satisfies that urge with its heritage meets new world luxury accommodations. Although the hotel was revamped in recent years, the original ‘Hotel Majestic’ still stands on the grounds, and is now a protected heritage listed building.

Majestic by name, majestic by nature, this beauty really shines – from the lobby with breathtaking Roman style pillars, to the four poster beds that make you feel like royalty. You can really get a feel for the 1930s by paying the Smoke House a visit, where a cigar room, cards, billiards, black and white movie theatre and a classic whisky lounge can make you feel like Don Draper for a day. There’s even a barber and a bespoke tailor on hand, just in case you can’t go another second without a hot shave and a custom made suit (let’s face it, why should you?).
